SMX Milan – Search & Social Marketing EXPO
is the leading international conference for innovative digital marketers and businesses. SMX Milan is organized by Business International in partnership with Third Door Media, which produces SMX events 10 times annually around the world. Conference co-chairs Danny Sullivan and Chris Sherman are the founding editors of Search Engine Land and Marketing Land, the leading news and analysis sites covering search and internet marketing. For more than a decade, they have been organizing cutting-edge search marketing events where the information presented is so good that attendees frequently start implementing solutions discussed at sessions during conference breaks! Danny is a frequent keynote speaker at SMX. He founded the first site on search marketing in 1995, and has been helping webmasters, marketers and everyday web users understand how search engines work ever since. He is the Chief Content Officer of Third Door Media, the parent company of Search Engine Land and SMX. Chris has analyzed and influenced developments in search marketing for more than a decade. He is Vice President of Event Editorial and the creative force behind Search Marketing Expo events around the world. He is also the author of several books on search marketing and technologies.
Born in Providence, RI, USA, Sean Carlos received a degree in Physics with honors from Bates College in Maine, USA. As a consultant and teacher of Digital Marketing, he helps companies to optimize their business results through online channels. He is particularly passionate about SEO, Social Media and Digital Analytics. Sean teaches at Milan’s Bocconi University and contributes to various publications including Search Engine Land and Marketing Land. In the early 90s, on behalf of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Sean developed an enterprise search application, from text indexing to retrieval. After a career at HP, he was IT Manager at real estate portal CasaClick.it, part of the Pirelli group. In 2006 he founded Antezeta Digital Marketing. Sean speaks English, Italian and German. He is Chairman of SMX Milan 2014.
